What to expect:
In this webinar, we will be taking a deep dive into Open Data, and what it means in practice when publishing your research. We will explain how Open Data fits into broader Open Research, which aims to encourage transparency, accessibility & reproducibility of research.
We will also explore varied definitions of ‘data’, how to plan your research to make sharing easier, how to choose a data repository, and linking shared data to your research. In this session, our Head of Open Research, Matt Cannon, will explain the exciting opportunities available through using Open Data, and take us through the policies and practices in place to support this at Taylor & Francis.

About the speaker:
Matt Cannon is the Head of Open Research for Taylor & Francis based in the UK. He helps set journal policies and establishes best practices to increase the reproducibility and transparency of research. He is a member of the Research Data Alliance, FORCE11, and on the steering group of the STM Publishing Association’s Research Data Project.
